They say that opposites attract…
… but in our case, it was our uncanny similarities that ignited the initial spark! We're both musicians, pianists, and conductors who work on two different Broadway shows in New York City. Every Thursday after the curtains come down, members of the theater community come together for "Broadway Bowling" at Frames Bowling Alley in Manhattan. It was here one fall evening, between lanes 12 and 13, where we first caught each other's eye. A few shy smiles led to an instant connection. We had an afternoon coffee date the next day, which turned into a late night stroll under the stars. That evening marked the beginning of a wonderful adventure of love, endurance, and commitment.
From an early age…
… both of us knew we wanted to be dads, and from very early in our relationship we discovered this shared desire. We're fortunate to have amazing role models, not only in our own parents, but in our community of friends, many who have recently become parents themselves. These role models encourage and inspire us as they demonstrate compassion, selflessness, optimism, and a zest for life. We strive to embody these qualities in our own daily lives and are ready to learn more as we teach these qualities to our children. In the meantime, we continue to make music in our living room, watch the next Disney movie on our list, try out new recipes, and remember to celebrate what sparks joy in life as we look forward to the next chapter!
